Dra. Joana Bento RodriguesFaculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Coimbra Biographical Notes
Joana Bento Rodrigues has graduated in Medicine in 2007 by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra (FMUC), attended the Otrhopaedics residency in the Hospital and University Centre of Coimbra (CHUC)and she is an orthopaedic surgeon since 2016. In the first year and a half she worked at CHUC and since 2017 is part of the Helth Group IdealMed team, where she coordinates sinistrality department.
She is post-graduated in Post-Traumatic Corporal Damage Evaluation by the National Institute of Legal Medicine, in Sports Medicine by the FMUC and in Clinical Research by the Harvard Medical School (online). In the last she was invited to be teaching assitant for two years because of her outstanding performance as student. In 2014 she was admitted as a PhD in Health Sciences student (FMUC), indending to devote her studies to biological therapies.
She participated in several national and international courses, congresses, meetings and symposia and presented papers as author and co-author in Portugal and abroad.
She is particularly devoted to Shoulder and Elbow conditions, which led her to several training courses in the area and to a fellowship in 2015 with the renowned surgeon Prof. Doctor Ofer Levy, in the Reading Shoulder Unit, England.
